Vintage Vegas Dive Bar Tour

The Vintage Vegas Dive Bar Tour is a history tour with a twist. On this tour you'll visit five classic Vegas bars that have been serving drinks through of some of the city’s most famous and infamous chapters. Along the way you'll hear the the stories of the characters and events that created America's craziest city: from the days of the Wild West, to the rise of the mafia, the weird world of Howard Hughes, the antics of the Rat Pack and the bizarre phenomenon of atomic tourism. At the bars you can meet the locals, sing karaoke and drink as much or as little as you like!

We meet at 8pm in the parking lot in front of Bonanza Gifts (AKA. "The World's Largest Gift Shop". You can't miss the sign! Click for map) This is the north-western corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. Please do not be late or we will leave without you. Do not drive yourself, even if you do not intend to drink. You will not be able to park. Also, keep in mind that the traffic on the Las Vegas Strip can be very heavy at night, especially during Fridays, weekends and vacation periods. Whether you walk or are travelling by taxi, ride share or public transportation, leave yourself plenty of time.

Our final stop is the Peppermill Fireside Lounge (click for map) which we should reach a little before 11pm. This famous vintage Vegas lounge is located at the northern end of The Strip, opposite Circus Circus. From here you can either walk home or get a cab or rideshare, depending on where you're staying. Or you can head out and party! If you need recommendations for clubs or anything else, I will be most happy to assist.

You MUST bring a valid ID for proof of age - 21 or over. This must be, either, a valid (not expired) US or foreign driver's license OR a valid passport. No matter your age or how old you look - even if you do not intend to drink! - you MUST BRING ID or you will not be admitted to the bars. Please don't forget your ID!

  • Enjoy a FREE cocktail at the legendary Frankie's Tiki Room.
  • Relax and be driven between each bar.
  • Hear the amazing historical stories that made Vegas the city it is today.
  • If you need any further tips or recommendations for absolutely anything do not hesitate to ask!
  • Transport to the meeting point and from the final stop is not included. However, both are well connected via rideshare, taxi or public transport.
  • Other than your free cocktail, no other alcohol is included. However, all these bars are very reasonably priced - much, much cheaper than anything you'd find on the Strip.
  • Don't forget to tip your bartender!
  • The legal drinking age in Nevada is 21, so you MUST be 21 or older to join this tour.
  • You MUST bring ID in the form of a driver’s license or passport – even if you don’t intend to drink! Please DO NOT FORGET to bring your ID.
  • The tour starts at 8pm. It is important that you are at the meeting spot on time.
  • Our final bar, The Peppermill, is also a legendary Vegas diner. However, none of the other venues serve food. It is recommended that you eat beforehand if you think you’ll be hungry.
  • This is Vegas and we want everyone to have a good time. But please remember that just because you’re in Sin City doesn’t mean that you’re magically able to drink more than you normally could. Know your limits. There is a $100 clean up fee for anyone who has too much of a good time in the car!
  • Be aware that smoking is legal in Vegas bars. If you are extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke, this may not be the tour (or the city) for you.
